We’re so glad you’ve chosen to make Lynd your home! Whether you're new to the area or just moving across town, we’re here to help make your transition as smooth as possible. Our small-town charm, welcoming community, and beautiful surroundings make Lynd a great place to live and raise a family.

The following information should help ease the transition of moving into the area for new residents.

✅ Set up Utility Services
Stop by or call the City Office at 507-865-4514 to set up water, sewer, and garbage service. You’ll need to complete a Utility Billing Form.

✅ Get to Know Your Garbage & Recycling Schedule
Find out your collection days and any rules about carts or bulk pickup. Call the City Office for details.

✅ Register Your Dog
All dogs in city limits must be licensed. Visit the City Office to complete a short form and pay the registration fee.

✅ Pick Up a Building Permit (if planning home improvements)
Check with the City Office to see if a permit is required.

✅ Find Out Where to Vote
All City/Township elections are held at the Lynd Community Center. Contact us if you have questions about voter registration or election dates.

Check out our Little Free Library in front of City Hall or head to Camden State Park, just minutes away.
